Doing a course or programme that helps make my working life run that much easier is always a winner for me. So it is with the Minds Eye Coaching course on speed reading. I had previously read a book on speed reading with limited success, but this time with coaching from Alex Garcex and with regular nightly practice at home my reading speed has more than doubled. Alex takes you through the psychological leaps that are needed to achieve this, like letting go of the 'reading voice' we have in our head whilst reading. Training your mind to pick out the salient points in text and reading in a almost meditative state, not only has you flying through the pages and comprehending everything, but stops the usual droopy eyelid feeling we can experience when reading for work is not a pleasure.
